The Gift of a Good Blog

It’s that time of year when we see gifts being wrapped and shared. Did you know your pet pro blog is a wonderful gift for pet parents? Your blog can answer their questions and encourage them through challenges, and that’s such a valuable gift.

Sometimes small businesses hesitate to share too much information in a blog post, concerned they might be giving away the business they need to keep going. In my experience as a pet parent, the more you share, the more likely your readers will become loyal customers.

When your blog gifts information, pet parents are grateful. Your blog posts build trust. They’ll go to you when they need your service because you’ve already shown them you know what you’re talking about. And that you care. If you’re that giving with a free blog post, they know you’ll be even more giving in caring for their pets.

Here’s the other thing about giving away helpful tips in your blog: Most pet parents will come to you anyway. They either won’t be able to figure out how to do what you’ve recommended. Or they simply don’t want to do it themselves. They’ll come to you for help because you’re the one that shared those valuable tips.

Those super helpful how-to blog posts are highly shareable too. Pet parents will share them with their friends because they want to be helpful. Don’t be surprised if those blog posts bring in new clients.

As you plan your blog posts for the new year, think about questions pet parents have and where you can gift them with valuable tips, insights, examples, how-tos, lessons, and encouraging stories. Share freely, and you’ll be well on your way to building more trust and business in the new year.
