Seasonal topics are a great way to connect with pet parents through your pet service blog. Seasonal blog topics are easy to write about, and pet parents find them relatable because they answer their most immediate questions.
Seasonal topics are both timely and evergreen, which makes them a simple, long-term investment for your pet care blog. They are timely because as the weather changes, so do pet care needs. They are evergreen because the same seasonal care questions come up year after year.
When you write a seasonal blog post, it can be used again in future years. You can repurpose a seasonal blog post by taking the previous year’s post, writing a new intro, refreshing your perspective, swapping out or updating the highlighted tips, and ending with an updated call to action. Basically, tweak last year’s seasonal post in slightly different words and with a new desire to connect and encourage.
To help you get started with seasonal posts related to pets, I’ve brainstormed five topics per month that are seasonally inspired. You can use these topics or let them inspire new topics for you.

An effective pet service blog will have a good mix of pet-focused topics; seasonal topics will be a part of that mix. Seasonal themes can fill your need for both timely and evergreen posts. And if you’re drawing a blank on your next blog topic, you can always fill in with something seasonal, at any time of the year.
Here’s a simple starting point for this week:
- Choose a current seasonal topic from the above list.
- Create a simple bullet-point outline for that topic.
- Fill in the details you want to share with pet parents.
- Schedule your post, and your blog is ready to go.
- Repeat with a seasonal topic for the following month.
