Pet Parents Will Need Your Blog Post in January

January is coming up soon. Before it arrives, you can write and schedule a blog post pet parents will need: How to handle the post-Christmas puppy or kitten overwhelm. Your expertise and encouragement will be exactly what they need.

Pet Parents Need You Soon

It happens every Christmas: kids find that wiggling, waggling present under the tree. A new puppy or kitten. The kids are thrilled. Parents are relieved they pulled off that surprise. The first few days are fun.

Then reality sets in. What in the world do we do with this little furball that has come to live with us? The kids enjoy playing with the pet. The responsibility for taking care of this new young creature falls back on the busy parents. Help!

That’s where you, the pet pro, come in. A helpful blog post written in an understanding tone will be exactly what pet parents need in January. How do they move forward? What comes next? How can you help?

Your blog post can include a simple guide for new puppy or kitten parents. Include tips on house-training basics, setting up a daily routine, when to seek professional support, and links to helpful resources that may already be on your website.

Now Is the Time

December will be here in a couple weeks. You’ll be busy with holiday pet care and family outings. Now is the best time to create your helpful blog post that pet parents will need in early January—before your own holiday busyness kicks in.

Go ahead and write your “kitten and puppy care tips” blog post this week. If you want, you can create two separate posts: one for kitten care and one for puppy care.

As you outline your post, put yourself in the mindset of an overwhelmed new pet parent. What do they need to know right away? What tips will help them feel calmer and more confident, and point them in the right direction?

Start with a few simple bullet points. For each bullet point, add a sentence or two of explanation or examples. Schedule your blog post to publish the week after Christmas. If you write two posts, one for puppy care and one for kitten care, you can schedule them back-to-back that same week.

Pet parents will be scouring the Internet for new puppy or kitten care guides. They will be relieved when they find yours. Don’t be surprised if they call your office for more help. Their new year and yours will be off to a great start.

As you write your blog post, know that your words will help pet families, puppies, and kittens start the new year with contentment, confidence, and blessing. That’s a great holiday gift to give them, and it only takes a few words and your years of expertise. You’ll be blessed, in turn, when your words lead to building trust and professional relationships in the new year.

Take some time this week to write your post-holiday blog post. Those puppies, kittens, and pet parents will thank you.
