From Summer Adventures to Fall Routines

It’s that time of year when schedules are changing. Vacation season is winding down, school resumes, work obligations increase. Everyone is adapting to the shift from summer adventures to fall routines. That includes pets. This is the perfect time to share tips on your pet pro blog to help pet parents navigate the changes.

It doesn’t matter if someone is a new or seasoned pet parent. We all need reminders. We need assurance that pet care is doable even in the busiest weeks.

Think about the changes:

Summer often moves at a slower pace. There’s more time to focus on pets. Kids are home from school to pick up some of the pet care responsibilities. Summer is also a time for pet sitters and boarding.

In summer, pet parents naturally keep their eyes on a pet’s coat (looking for bugs or burrs) and make sure hydration and cooling are adequate. Cooler summer evenings may include more outdoor time for walks, play, relaxing with pets on a porch.

Then comes fall scheduling: Kids back in school. Longer work hours. More evening activities away from home. Who has to be where and when? Pets don’t fit in quite as naturally when it comes to fall logistics.

For all these reasons, your pet parent readers will appreciate your help, suggestions, reminders. Consider the following blog topics:

  • Helping pets adapt to your fall schedule.
  • Simple pet care reminders for fall.
  • Easy ideas for pet care chores for kids.
  • How to navigate the temperature shifts of fall.
  • Fitting dog walking and play time into your family’s fall schedule.
  • Easing pet anxiety during fall schedule changes.
  • Pet hydration is important year round: some fall tips.
  • Is fall still bug season for pets?

If you choose just one of those topics to post on your blog at this transitional time of year, pet parents will appreciate the tips and suggestions. They might be calling you for help, so this is also a great time to be sure your contact info, hours, and booking process are up to date on your website.

Pet care is just as doable in the fall as it is all summer. We pet parents just need a few reminders and a little help navigating the changes.
